What is AESI?

L’Association des Etudiants pour la Solidarité Internationale (AESI) is a student organization for international solidarity created by RICI students from the LEA faculty in Roubaix. But it will be open to all students at
University of Lille.
The aim of the organization is to develop and implement international solidarity projects.
These projects will meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and issues linked to Education for Global Citizenship and Solidarity (ECSI). To this end, here are some of the organization’s objectives:

  • Supporting student’s projects :
  • Supporting international solidarity projects by students from our faculty, but also from other faculties at the university.
  • Supporting student’s organization in the development of their solidarity projects by offering advice and resources to develop effective initiatives.
  • Training based on Education for Global Citizenship and Solidarity (ECSI):
  • Offering training to raise students’ awareness of global issues about Education for Global Citizenship and Solidarity in partnership with Lianes cooperation.
  • Organzing workshops and events when we will discuss themes such as global citizenship, access to care, health, education and water.
  • International Solidarity Day:
  • Organizing a welcome and international solidarity day where students can learn about topics related to solidarity, development, and global citizenship
  • Contributing to the international visibility of the University of Lille in the field of international solidarity.
